The Elixir of Life
The 2017 NZ German Shepherd National is done and dusted.
We are so proud to announce that "Champion Toatahi Paint it Black" was awarded the Bronze medal for LSC Males. Proudly owned and loved by Rachael Rogge. Elixir was beautifully presented by his owner Rachael and expertly handled by LeeAnn Hastings. This was a fantastic milestone for our kennel being our first LSC National medal winner, and also our first LSC Champion, we can't thank this team enough for all their hard work - what a fabulous ambassador for our kennel - Go Elixir

Way to go Pearl the whirl, don't let those boys have all the fun.
"ROLLING STONES" Gather No Moss

We are thrilled to announce that two milestones have been reached for Toatahi Kennels.
We now have the First Long Stock Coat Champion for Toatahi. "Toatahi Paint It Black" (Elixir) Proudly owned and loved by Rachael Rogge, and expertly handled by LeeAnn Hastings. Thanks to a great team for all your hard work.
We are delighted that Elixir's brother "Toatahi Jumpin Jack Flash" (Hammer) has also gained his Champion title.
This gives us our second milestone of two Champions from one litter.
We hope to better this with their sister "Toatahi Play With Fire" (Pearl), who is only one Challenge away from her tittle.
Looking forward to an exciting 2017 with our up and coming stars.

NEW Beginnings 2014
Our "Metallica" Litter has taken their first steps with their new families and have settled in to family life, and thanks to their owners for the great photos and updates, as it happens they are a litter of "water babies" with lots of reports on their antics in and around water - we love to follow puppy's progress.
Some have debuted  in the ring with great results
." Toatahi Master of Puppets"  already gaining multi Baby Puppy of Breed, Reserve of Breed and Baby Puppy of Group wins under his belt, well done .
"Toatahi Nothing Else Matters" proudly owned by Leeanne Hastings 2nd Baby Puppy Dog on his first outing - beaten only by his brother!(reminds me of Delta and Awa when they were babies)
"Toatahi Through The Never" proudly owned by Adrienne Aston has already clocked up wins in Baby Puppy of Breed, Best Bitch, Best of Breed, 2nd Baby Puppy Bitch, Reserve Bitch. Outstanding results for Deltas first progeny - we look forward to watching the litter develop - exciting times ahead!!

AN OUTRAGEOUS FORTUNE IN GOLD

Delta "CH Toatahi Outrageous Fortune" has given us the fabulous gift of Gold!!, winning Gold Medal Bitch at the 2013 New Zealand German Shepherd National.
Delta gave us her very best on the day, showing her true star quality. Special thanks must go to Neil who did all the hard work in her preperation.
We would like to thank the Judge Rainer Mast S.V. (Germany). We enjoyed watching his judging style, and informative talk at the critique evening.

Also we are especially grateful to Gavin and Carol Black of Gavarol Kennels, who took a chance on us and allowed us to use the fabulous "Eng&NZ CH Philipp aus der Neuen Hauffstrasse(Imp-Ger).
A BIG thank you to ALL who offered support and congratulations, your support has been priceless
First in the ring was Koda "Toatahi Devils Gait" our baby boy who was called out in first place, but couldn't quite hold it together for long enough, and finished 2nd, so we were very pleased with that result.
Next was Seiger "Toatahi High Voltage" who was called out in 3rd place, but made his way up to 2nd place, so another pleasing result there too, really showing the hard work Neil has put in.
Thunda "Toatahi Thunder Struck"  in a nail biting class, to bring Thunda  from a callout in 7th all the way up to 2nd place
We are physically wrecked and emotionally exhausted, but we have smiles on our faces, we couldn't have dreamed for better results, with all  "Toatahi"  stock entered gaining 2nd place or better.
It was great to meet up with some Southerners again and put faces to names for others.Well done to the National Committee for all their hard work - the ring was awesome guys, and thanks also to Viv McCambridge for making accomodation arrangements a breeze.
